What is the Antidote to today’s Cultural Virus In the Church?
We seek to be the comforting and equipping antidote through the power of the Spirit for church members who feel their congregations are leaving them behind as some church and Christian university leaders abandon the word of God in search of being friends with culture in a panicky hope for a worldly defined relevance.
One sister in Christ at a congregation for over 30 years said: “I didn’t leave my church. My church left me!” What caused leaders to change? Why would they turn on their own members? Why would they insist on culture and not scripture and the Holy Spirit to understand Jesus and his will for our lives?
Rejecting the Golden Calves in the Church
“Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the Lord’s side?... Let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.”
We are not calling the church back to Mosaic law. We are calling us to reject the cultural Golden Calves being fashioned in some corners of the church and to fully embrace and live by God’s Holy Word in Spirit and in Truth. Are you on the Lord’s side?
